CNN —Joe Biden landed a major union endorsement Wednesday from North America’s Building Trades Unions, whose leaders say the president has his infrastructure bill largely to thank for it. The backing from NABTU, which has 3 million members nationwide, is more enthusiastic than its 2020 backing of Biden. That’s raised questions about the political future of the next generation of union members. Still, the question remains: Can Trump consistently stay awake through the long slog of a criminal trial? CNN —Fifty-six years after a Florida milkman failed to return home after his rounds, his homicide has been solved, closing the oldest cold case in Indian River County Sheriff’s Office history. The next day, Grayam’s body and truck were located in a wooded area in what was described as a “chilling scene,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Over the subsequent years, 16 separate investigations occurred through April 1974 in an effort to solve the case, Flowers said. After receiving that information, detectives tracked down the suspect’s ex-wife, who also said Williams confessed to her, Flowers said. The witnesses said the suspect had been arrested and convicted several times on other charges, the sheriff’s office added.

CNN —Three people are dead and two others were injured during a shooting early Sunday morning in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, law enforcement officials said. The Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release the shooting happened just after 4 a.m. nearly a mile west of the city’s downtown. Officers arriving at the scene found five victims “with injuries consistent with being shot,” according to the release. The victims’ identities have not been released, and police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing. “The Winnipeg Police Service Forensic Services Unit will be on scene for an extended period due to the gravity of this incident,” officials said.
